How to Enter: See Trophy Rules The Game Animal Skin ShieldAwarded for: The best skin of any mature game animal. Eligibility: Open to all financial members of the North Auckland Branch (financial at the time of securing the trophy, and at the time of entering the trophy for measurement). How to Enter: See Trophy Rules The President’s TrophyAwarded for: The combined score of a trophy on converted Douglas score, and a range shoot – see rules and shooting competitions. Eligibility: Open to all financial members of the North Auckland Branch (financial at the time of securing the trophy, and at the time of entering the trophy for measurement, and at the time of shooting the range component of the competition). Rules: The member must present both a game trophy ( Douglas score Red Deer equivalent), and shoot in the one-day shooting competition known as the President’s Trophy Shoot (100m, standing, 100m target, 10 shots in 10 minutes). The shooting score is multiplied by 3 and added to the converted Douglas score of the best trophy (any species) submitted by the competitor. How to Enter: See Trophy Rules. See shooting rules. The Boggs MacDonald Roaring ShieldAwarded for: The best imitation roar of a Red Deer on the night of the annual Branch prize giving. Eligibility: Open to all financial members of the North Auckland Branch. Rules: The member must use natural roaring aids. The competitor is specifically prohibited from using electronic devices or recordings. How to Enter: See Trophy Rules. See shooting rules for those who cheat. The McDougal CupAwarded for: The best imitation roar of a Red Deer by a female Branch member on the night of the annual Branch prize giving. Eligibility: Open to all female financial members of the North Auckland Branch. Rules: The member must use natural roaring aids. The competitor is specifically prohibited from using electronic devices or recordings. How to Enter: See Trophy Rules. The Mrs. W. Diamond ShieldAwarded for: The provider of the most game meat for use at Branch functions. Eligibility: Open to all financial members of the North Auckland Branch. Rules: The meat must be from a game animal. The meat must be edible. Providers are to note that the terms ‘game’ and ‘gamey’ are not synonymous. How to Enter: Provide edible game meat for Branch functions. |
